IO Interactive Boss Confirms Hitman 3 is in Production and it Could be Episodic

By Sean Carey,
IO Interactive boss has confirmed that Hitman 3 is in production and that the game could be episodic — though it's not clear if it will be the staggered release of Hitman or the same-day release of Hitman 2's episodes.

In a documentary published by No Clip, studio head Hakan Abrak confirmed that the latest Hitman series is a trilogy, with the third Hitman game currently in development. Although we are light on details, Abrak told No Clip that Hitman 3 "could go episodic" and that with the third game, it will complete the trilogy and make the Hitman series — with a total of twenty plus locations — the "ultimate globetrotting experience."

Also announced in the documentary was that IO Interactive is working on a new IP, but again, not much was given away in the doc.

We do have a new trailer for Agent 47's next mission in Hitman 2. This time the bald assassin is going to have to don a woolly hat to protect himself from frostbite as he's off to the frozen wastes of Siberia.

Agent 47 will have to eliminate two targets and start a prison riot to cover his tracks. Included in the new expansion is a new location (Siberia, Russia), a new Sniper Assassin map, Sniper Assassin Challenges and Multiplayer: Online co-op.
The new DLC will be available from tomorrow the 30th July and will be under 2GB to download.

Also confirmed by IO Interactive is the new expansion will have achievements to earn, so we will update you as soon as we get those.

We've got the full list of HITMAN 2 achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
