By Heidi Nicholas,
Microsoft have just announced the lineup for the games coming to Xbox Games Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC this month.

The list includes Ashes Cricket, Pandemic and Downwell, which will be arriving first, followed by Jackbox Party Pack 2, and Space Hulk Tactics, and is rounded up by Slay the Spire. The games will arrive as follows:

August 1

Ashes Cricket, according to Microsoft's post, will allow you to take part in the 'greatest cricket competition in the world', as you help either England or Australia through the series.
Pandemic has you as part of 'an elite disease control team' attempting to prevent and cure the diseases afflicting cities across the world. We've also recently picked up the achievement list for this item.
Downwell is exactly what the title promises. You'll be journeying down into a well and levelling up to battle whatever creatures you find down there, as well as exploring the caves in search of the red gems which you can use in the shops, which of course you'd expect to find down a well. Downwell is also available for Xbox Game Pass for PC. We've recently picked up the achievement list for Downwell, so if you're planning to play it, head over there and check it out.

August 8

Jackbox Party Pack 2. Jackbox games are always popular, and if you've never tried them before, I'd definitely recommend Quiplash XL first. The pack also contains Bidiots, Bomb Corp, Earwax, and Fibbage 2, which is also a lot of fun.
Space Hulk Tactics is coming solely to Xbox Game Pass for PC, and is a turn-based strategy game in which you can join the fight as either a Space Marine Terminator Squad or a horde of Alien Genestealers. Space Hulk Tactics is also available for Xbox Game Pass for PC.

August 14

Last but not least, Slay the Spire is a deckbuilding adventure which joins card game and roguelike elements together. The player must work their way through encounters, including battling monsters, discovering shopkeeps, and healing at campfires. Slay The Spire is also available for Xbox Game Pass for PC.

What do you think of this lineup? Which ones, if any, will you be playing?

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
