In a recent tweet, the popular streamer Ninja announced that he has left Twitch and will now be streaming exclusively on Microsoft's Mixer.
Ninja is best known for his Fortnite content. Epic Games have had a busy few weeks, and Ninja's move coincides with the start of Fortnite Season X, which started yesterday. (If you need a reminder of the context behind Season X, check out this article about the teaser trailer).
In Ninja's video, he appears at a press conference and is asked questions by different versions of himself, posing as journalists. He emphasises that his content won't be affected by the change. He states that it's 'the same me, just a different platform' and explains that he's looking forward to getting back to his 'roots' and revisit the reason he became so passionate about streaming. This idea is reinforced by his followup tweet, in which he excitedly tells us that he can't wait to get back in touch with his 'streaming roots':
His first stream on Mixer will take place today from noon to 6pm CT at Lollapalooza, and you can watch it here.
