Excitement for Borderlands 3 is ramping up as its release date approaches. Yesterday, the first 14 minutes of gameplay was revealed, showing off the game's gorgeous art style and graphics. Now, following on from the announcements of Moze and Zane, another new Vault Hunter has arrived. Amara "the Siren" was announced in a character video titled "Looking for a Fight":
Already, it's clear to see the differences between Amara, Moze and Zane. Zane was a cynical, rebellious lone-wolf, and Moze was a former soldier adjusting to life without her squad. Whilst Moze has her Iron Bear, Amara and Zane seem to prefer to work alone. Unlike Zane, Amara is a hero to the people — while she exhibits a similar bloodthirsty desire for a fight, she states that she is specifically looking for "a fight for justice."
The Borderlands page on Amara gives more information about her combat style and abilities. She can crush enemies "in the grip of a giant astral fist" with Phasegrasp, use Phasecast, an "astral projection that bombards everything in its path", or utilise Phaseslam to knock enemies into the air. Her abilities are evident throughout her reveal, as are the extra arms she creates with her Siren powers.
Will Amara, the "hero born in the slums of Partali", be the Vault Hunter for you?
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Borderlands 3 achievements.
