Assassin's Creed Odyssey continues to get new content almost a year after its release, including the latest Lost Tale of Greece — making the Old Flames Burn Brighter achievement available.
A New Lost Tale Of GreeceThe new Lost Tale of Greece is titled "Old Flames Burn Brighter". Ubisoft's update post describes it as a "horseback ride down memory lane as you reconnect with an old friend". Kassandra (or Alexios) receive a mysterious invitation from someone from their past in Kephallonia— someone they thought never to meet again. This Lost Tale is out now, but players will need to have reached Chapter 5 to access it.
Odyssey fans were quick to note that the tweet on the Assassin's Creed page labelled Old Flames Burn Brighter as the latest Lost Tale of Greece, not the last. Ubisoft's post addresses this, confirming that the Lost Tales aren't finished, and another will be out in September.
Ikaros Character PackThe packs for Odyssey have all been impressive so far. As usual, this one will include a gear set, a mount, and a bow. There's no word yet on what it will look like, aside from the fact that it's Ikaros-themed. The Ikaros pack allows players to "Glide effortlessly between multiple foes like an eagle would soar through the skies." The Ikaros pack will be available on August 27 in the store and at the Oikos of the Olympians. Players can already purchase the Pegasus and Sphinx skins for Phobos, both of which are winged, and so it'll be interesting to see how this Ikaros mount will compare.
Story Creator ModeStory Creator Mode has already undergone several updates since its release two months ago, such as Elite NPCs and new NPC behaviours. This month sees the addition of more improvements. Patrol Behaviour is confirmed, along with the ability to utilise quest items when starting a new quest or objective. Players will also soon be able to save Stories, create playlists, and store Stories in a queue. Ubisoft are working on adding dialogue between multiple characters. If this feature passes their testing phase, it will also release in August.
Title Update 1.5.0 Finally, Ubisoft announced that Title Update 1.5.0 will be coming later this month. The patch will address in-game issues, but also pave the way for the release of the Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece. If, like me, you struggle to take in the exquisitely designed temples and houses and can only snatch glimpses whilst being tailed by 3 or 4 bloodthirsty guards, the upcoming Discovery Tour will be ideal. Basically, it allows players to explore the map without the threat of combat, and learn more about Ancient Greece through guided tours. The Discovery Tour won't be out this month, but Ubisoft promises more news in the September update.
Assassin's Creed RebellionIn other Assassin's Creed news, the mobile game is also receiving a host of new content. Region 5 is now available, unlocking four new environments. Region 5 also presents new missions which will take players into the Spanish Rebellion as they look for Alvarado, Torquemada, and pieces of the Staff of Eden.
Players can also unlock new heroes Altair Ibn-La'Ahad and Maria Thorpe with The Eagle's Shadow, a five day event set in Acre, 1191, during the Third Crusade. Players must protect the city from the Templars and Montferrat as either Altaïr Maria. It sounds exciting, but this is a limited-time event, so players must do their protecting quickly.
We'll be sure to keep players updated with Assassin's Creed news. In the meantime, what do you think? Will you be getting the Ikaros pack or playing the new Lost Tale? Let us know in the comments!
