Traxmaster Software's Exception is out now for Xbox One.
The premise is that Alice, an elderly woman, has her computer overrun by viruses. It's up to the player to take on the role of software program/vengeful combat machine to defeat them. You'd be forgiven for missing any of that, as the trailers pretty much skip the backstory and Alice herself doesn't look as though she'll feature much. Instead, the trailers focus on the game's vibrant neon art-style. There's a definite 80s vibe with the multicoloured glow and synthwave backing tracks as the player blasts through vividly luminous malware enemies on rotating levels.
