Apex Legends' Solo Mode and Iron Crown Event is Now Live

By Sean Carey, 1 month ago
Apex Legends' Iron Crown Collection Event is currently live featuring a Solos only mode, new cosmetics and a new in-game currency.

The new update features not only a temporary solo mode — where players can drop-in all by their lonesome — but also several new legendary character skins that can be unlocked, some pirate-themed and others that look a little more post-apocalyptic.

There is also a whole host of gun skins and other items to be obtained during the event. These items can be found in special Iron Crown packs that can be purchased with coins. An Iron Crown pack will cost 700 coins, unlike a standard pack that costs 100. All the items found in these Iron Crown packs are only available while the event is running.

Crowns are also a new in-game currency, which can be earned from challenges found in Iron Crown Collection Packs. This currency can be used to unlock Limited Rare, Epic and Legendary cosmetic content. Any unspent Crowns left-over will be converted into Crafting Metals at the end of the event.

The Apex Legends Iron Crown Collection Event finishes August 27th.
