Xbox have released the newest trailer for Wasteland 3, and it strikes a far more grimly serious tone than the comically jaunty E3 trailer.
In the trailer, the Patriarch of Colorado has reached out to the Desert Rangers to make a deal: they bring his "fractured children to heel", and he will "ensure the continued existence" of their company. Whilst the E3 trailer for Wasteland 3 was lightly dismissive of the dangers in Colorado, this new trailer is much darker. The player will have to deal with gangs and cults as well as the post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland. What's more, as the Rangers are unknown in those parts, players will have to rebuild their reputation one bit at a time. As inXile states, " survival is difficult and a happy outcome is never guaranteed. Players will face difficult moral choices and make sacrifices that will change the game world." Overall, players will need every bit of cunning in the turn-based combat as they cross the frozen and unfortunately inhabited wasteland.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Wasteland 3 achievements.
