The Kerbals are back for another interstellar outing in a follow up to the fan favourite Kerbal Space Program. As announced at Gamescom: Opening Night Live, Kerbal Space Program 2 is coming to Xbox One in 2020.
Players will be able to explore further than before, and can now leave the Kerbal's solar system thanks to new vessels with new upgraded engines. Colonies are also coming to Kerbal Space Program 2 with their own physics problems, much like the rockets. They will also require resource gathering to develop new technologies to propel the Kerbal race further into deep space.
Multiplayer is also coming to Kerbal Space Program 2 as announced by the KSP website. Although, the developers aren't saying much on this front, with more information coming soon.
If you're interested, the developers also released a Developer Diary that goes into a little more depth about how the sequel has progressed from the original:

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Kerbal Space Program 2 achievements.
