Announced during the Inside Xbox show at Gamescom, Metro Exodus will be getting its first DLC titled, "The Two Colonels" and the new trailer shows off some of that classic linear Metro style gameplay the series is famous for.
The Two Colonels' follows the story of Colonel Khlebnikov during his final days in the dead city of Novosibirsk. However, many terrors await as slime is further consuming the tunnels and mutant attacks are on the rise. Colonel Miller retraces his steps a year later to find out what exactly happened.
Deep Silver describes the expansion as a new linear chapter that is much like the classic Metro games. So no open world here, it's all underground in those dark, claustrophobic tunnels. There is a new flamethrower you can get your hands on though.
The Two Colonels is the first of two DLC's coming to Metro Exodus, with the second expansion called "Sams Story" that follows the story of a former US Marine as he attempts to get back to his homeland — due early 2020.
The Two Colonels DLC is dropping at some point today. Metro Exodus is available on both Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC.
