Man of Medan Isn't Out Yet, But It Seems We Already Know What's Coming Next

By Heidi Nicholas,
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan doesn't release until tomorrow, August 30th, yet we already know the name of the next game in the series. A teaser trailer after the credits for Man of Medan reveals that "Little Hope" will be coming out next year.

This series is intended to be comprised of standalone games, with different characters in each. This trailer, captured by IGN, gives a town seemingly named "Little Hope". In the teaser, 2 characters, Andrew and Angela, are shown discussing "someone in the woods", before we're introduced to Mary, a creepy young girl with an equally creepy doll. Mary's speech and clothing, in the brief glimpse we have of her, look quite old-fashioned; a contrast to Andrew and Angela. It doesn't take long for Angela to be counted out of the trailer, dragged away by something monstrous, and Andrew's left alone. If there was somehow any doubt over the genre, the trailer finishes with a flickering light going out over the word "hope" on the town's sign, before closing out with somebody screaming. Little Hope will release in 2020.

In the meantime, Man of Medan will be releasing tomorrow. Check out the launch trailer below to get some idea of what you'll be up against:

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
