The limited-time Voidwalker event brings a lot of new content to Apex Legends, including a town takeover, challenges, a limited-time mode and double XP. The event will run from September 3rd to September 17th.

"Listen to the voices in the Apex Legends Voidwalker event". As per the game's site, the event features a number of items:

Wraith Town Takeover: "Syndicate construction crews have unearthed part of a decayed Project: Wraith facility in Kings Canyon. Jump in to discover for yourself the mysterious remains of the research site, including a functional prototype portal that can be used to get an early jump on the base – or to escape and reinitiate skydive."

Limited-Time Mode: Armed and Dangerous: in which the only weapons are snipers and shotguns. The enabled guns will be the Mozambique, Peacekeeper, EVA-8, Longbow, G7, and Triple Take. It will also be harder to get loot. EA state that they're planning more of these modes for the future, and so it'll be interesting to see how Armed and Dangerous fares.

Event Challenges: these challenges will reward players with exclusive skins and content, which are only available during the event.

The event also comes alongside some bug fixes and quality of life improvements, including a new Promo window, and the ability to Auto Sprint. You can read all the patch notes here. Finally, since this event is themed around Wraith, it makes sense that the latest Stories from the Outlands featured Wraith herself:

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
