Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Roadmap to Launch — Betas, Crossplay & Campaign Premiere

By Sean Carey, 15 days ago
In the lead up to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the Call of Duty Twitter page has released details surrounding the upcoming Open Betas, Crossplay and both the Campaign and Spec-Ops premiers.

The first Beta weekend is exclusive to PS4 and will run from September 12th to the 16th. Followed by crossplay details and then the crossplay open beta which will take place September 19th to the 23rd. The Campaign premiere will follow at the end of the month and in October, we will see the premiere of Special Ops.

Crossplay is new to the Call of Duty franchise and will support multiplayer across both PC and consoles. Players will be matched based on their input methods, so keyboard and mouse players won't be paired with controller players. However, that is all we know in terms of crossplay, but as the tweet suggests we should find out a bit more the week of September 16th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on October 25th.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare achievements.
