It's time to earn those Minecraft achievements in style, as a character creator is included in the latest update for Minecraft's beta build.
Previously, custom skins could only be made on PC, but now the latest beta build will allow players to personalise their avatar in a variety of different ways, including body size and shape, hairstyles and colours, facial hair and skin tones. Over 100 of these items will be available for free with a range of custom accessories available to buy. Traditional custom skins can still be imported as before on Windows 10 and Android. You can see more of the Character Creator in the Minecraft Live stream below:
The Beta is only available for those on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Android. To sign up, take a look at the link here. If you do decide to opt-in, just be aware that joining the beta will replace your game with a work in progress version of Minecraft, you won't have access to Realms, and you won't be able to play with non-beta players. You can opt-out at any point.
Once the Beta has finished, the Character Creator will be made available for Minecraft Earth and other Bedrock platforms such as iOS and Nintendo Switch.
