Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer Detailed

When I mention that Tecmo KOEI has announced their new game for the Xbox 360, the majority of you would assume that we're talking about another Dynasty Warriors title, or something with a similar style of gameplay. You'd be wrong; they have announced that their long-running G1 Jockey franchise will be making its first appearance on our favourite console.

Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer will use Kinect to simulate the experience of riding in flat and jump racing across Europe and Japan:

Players will learn how to use the horse’s reins and whip as well shifting their body-weight to ride their thorough-bred to victory. In addition to controlling their horse, players must understand its unique rhythm, potential, stamina and preferred racing style to truly master the game.

For players looking for a more accessible experience, Champion Jockey will include control modes that tone down authenticity and maximize the physical, accessible fun of motion control. Champion Jockey will be a horse racing experience that everyone can enjoy.

Online compatibility will allow players to take part in multiplayer races, with players being ranked in the Live Jockey Rankings. Tecmo KOEI has also promised that there will be plenty of DLC available to extend players' experience.

Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer is due to be released in September 2011.
