12 New Achievements Coming to Forza Horizon 4 in Update 14

By Sean Carey,
The Forza Horizon 4 achievements list is going to get slightly longer as Playground Games has announced that 12 new achievements (despite the tweet below clearly saying 11) worth 250 Gamerscore will be included in Update 14 The Anniversary Update.

According to the Forza Monthly live stream, the new achievements will relate to Car Files, The Top Gear expansion and a new Festival Playlist, although we don't have anything definitive yet. Also coming in the new update are improvements to the Route Creator, which will allow players to edit checkpoints and routes more easily. Races will also be easier to find with new search tags. The Anniversary Update comes a load of content too, including new Season Events, Trials, PR Stunts, Forzathon challenges and of course, new cars. If you want to know more about what's coming in Update 14, you can check out the stream below.

The update should be rolling out within the next day or so, so keep your eyes peeled. We will, of course, update you when we get the new achievement list.

This game was featured in our Best Xbox One Racing Games Available in 2019 article. Why not check it out to see what else made the cut?

Hey everyone! I'm Sean. I have been writing gaming content for various outlets over the past few years while studying a degree in Journalism. I grew up on everything PlayStation — mainly Metal Gear Solid, with a brief foray into the world of Xbox. Nowadays, you'll find me mainly playing multiplayer PC games, but with the recent addition of the Xbox Game Pass for PC, I'm looking forward to improving my TA Score.

I skipped on the Top Gear content because, at the time, it had no achievements. Can anyone give any details on what it was like (difficulty, fun factor, activities) please? smile Otherwise the update seems like more achievements akin to the rest of the game and DLC, so I'm not expecting any nasties. Gives me a reason to come back to this gem!

Just as a reminder that all the new achievements, should be retroactive, with 1 achievement being linked to 100% a Monthly Playlist.

    How Hard Could It Be?
Earn all 21 stars on The Top Gear Horizon Special

The Wonderful World of Car Insurance
Complete the first chapter of The Car Files

    Simples!
Complete all ten chapters of The Car Files

    German Efficiency
Earn all 30 stars on The Car Files

    A Creature of Habit
Complete all Seasonal Championships in a Festival Playlist Series

Hoping these are all fine. Nothing seems too difficult (very standard to Forza Horizon 4's other achievements in the past), although I don't know what "all 8 seasonal completion bonuses" would constitute?

It's the bonuses you receive for reaching 50% & 80% each week, for completing parts of the Festival Playlist. You will need to reach 80% in all 4 Seasons to win this achivement,

Well that's good timing since i'm about to start doing the expansion DLCs once summer rolls around on Thursday. I already done all the stories though so hope these are retroactive.

But god damn seems I gotta do another 4 weeks of waiting and playing since I started FH4 right when Autumn began in-game a few weeks ago.

Well, I'd already finished the Car Files and Top Gear, although I didn't worry about getting 3 stars on everything. Guess I should go back and do that. I really thought Car Files was a fun premise, glad to see it getting some love.

There is a trick to skip/fast-forward to a season. I'm personally just going to wait, can't be bothered.

I'm torn on this, cause I'm not against going back into Forza Horizon 4, it's a great game, but I hate being "forced" to, just to keep my 100% record, I've already 100%'d the game four times. ¬.¬

    I do not believe this!

They might want you to think so, but it is not true.

For example: star cards...they are not retroactive..and they are BROKEN, and always will be broken.

playground games is not your friend.

If any of these new achievos are supposed to be retroactive, they most likely will not be.

    Amen.

Does that mean one season like summer, or all four seasons? The latter would take a lot of time and effort and particularly you'd have to ensure not to miss the daily forzathon challenges.

Looking at my history I did 96% series completion once, the rest are all in the 40s-50s.

I can't see many people doing 100% (all four seasons). It's quite a chore even for those of us who like the game and play a lot.

When they introduced extra achievements for FH3 they were retroactive and most or all of them popped instantly for a lot of people.

It's true star cards are broken though, the game now crashes to the desktop (PC) if I try to change mine.

Guess I'll just wait too since it still goes towards the 50 days needed for the Forza Hub challenge in the end. Nearly halfway with it.
