Stranded alone on Mars, the player must find out whether the horrors they're seeing are real, or a sign of their descent into madness. Moons of Madness is a cosmic horror game, with its newest trailer revealing its release date:

Moons of Madness comes to PCs a little earlier and just in time for Halloween, on October 22nd this year. For Xbox and PS4, it releases on January 21st 2020. It's a cosmic horror game blending scientific fact and supernatural mystery. In the game, players are the hapless Shane Newehart, a technician living on the Invictus research outpost on Mars. All they know is that their job is to keep the place running; they're unaware that a signal was received from Mars, and that the Orochi scientists built the Invictus outpost to search for the origin of the message. The Orochi scientists discovered that the message came from an intelligent source, and that's why Shane Newehart is on Mars; to keep the outpost ticking over until the Cyrano trasport ship arrives with his replacements. But Newehart starts to see things that aren't there, and hearing things that don't make sense. It's up to the player to decide whether these things are real or Newehart is descending into madness, as they search to uncover the truth.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
