Fallout 76's NPC Update Delayed Until 2020 By Sean Carey, 17 Oct 2019 FollowtopicsFallout 76FalloutBethesda SoftworksXbox Game PassLocal MultiplayerFirst Person ShooterSean Carey The Wastelanders update for Fallout 76 was revealed at this years E3. The free update adds human NPC's to the game — a much-requested feature by the Fallout 76 community. Unfortunately, Bethesda has delayed the expansion until the first quarter of next year. Wastelanders was due to be released this Fall, but it looks like Bethesda aren't quite ready to release it just yet, as detailed on its website: "It’s going to need more time to be the best, most polished update it can be. We’ve continued to re-evaluate and change our processes to make sure the work we’re doing hits our quality bar, and yours. We apologise for this delay but know it will be worth the extra time."Wastelanders is turning out to be one of the largest expansions we’ve ever done, and it changes the entire world with human NPCs returning." The update adds not only human NPCs (before players could only have one-sided conversations with robots, or had to listen to holotapes for missions) but also a new main quest, dialogue trees, and player a choice and consequence system.
