The 6 Quickest and Easiest Game Completions from the latest Xbox Sales

By Sean Carey,
The sales Gods have not looked favourably upon us this week in terms of quick and easy game completions, but we have still delved into our sales stories and plucked the quickest and easiest of a bad bunch. This week, we have six games. We've included links directly to the store and to each game's hub where you will find individual achievement guides and a walkthrough if one's been written.

Broken Sword 5 TSC 1

Quickest Xbox Game Completions from the latest Sales

Game Completion Time Average Discount Store Links
The Wolf Among Us (Win 10) 8-10 hours 50% View
UglyDolls: An Imperfect Adventure 5-6 hours 25% View
Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent's Curse 6-8 hours 75% View
Degrees of Separation 6-8 hours 50% View
PAW Patrol: On a Roll 5-6 hours 25% View
Awesome Pea 1-2 hours 30% View
First up, is a Win 10 list with The Wolf Among Us. A cracking game that has been highly rated by the TA community, coming in at 4.3 stars. Although the list is pretty easy as with all Telltale games, it is a time sink and will take around 8-10 hours to complete all five episodes — perhaps longer if you're giving this game the playthrough it deserves. You'll find a comprehensive walkthrough for this one too to earn you that 1000 Gamerscore.

UglyDolls: An Imperfect Adventure is the second easiest game on the list, and it's retailing out reasonably expensive for a game that's only been rated 1.8 out 5 from the community ($29.99/£26.24/€29.99). Still, if you're after something fairly easy UglyDolls might be the way to go. It's got 1000 Gamerscore attached to it but, it will take you an estimated 5-6 hours to complete.

There is a cracking walkthrough attached to Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent's Curse with over 300 thumbs-ups. Broken Sword 5 is a point and click adventure game that should take an estimated 6-8 hours to complete. The achievements are all fairly straightforward — especially if you're following the walkthrough.

Screens - 20/12/18

Degrees of Separation is a puzzle platformer that has 10 achievements worth 1000Gs. We currently don't have a walkthrough for this one, but there are individual guides available. Again, this one is going to require some time, around 6-8 hours.

A regular that pops up in the sales is PAW Patrol: On a Roll. It has 17 achievements worth 1000 Gamerscore, but it's currently on sale for $29.99/£26.24/€29.99, which could be considered a little steep if you're in it just for the Gamerscore. If you're interested, it's going to take about 5-6 hours to grab them all.

Finally, we have the shortest game on the list in terms of completion time — Awesome Pea. Although it's the shortest coming in at 1-2 hours, it is also the toughest in terms of its TA Ratio. No walkthrough, but plenty of achievement guides and it is in the sale for cheap, so now could be the time to pick it up for its 1000 Gamerscore.

There you have it — a round-up of the quickest and easiest games to complete from this week's sales. Hopefully, we'll have a bit more of a selection next week.

You can view the full list of the games discounted in the latest Xbox sale here.

Will you be picking up any of these titles for a quick Gamerscore boost?

Hey everyone! I'm Sean. I have been writing gaming content for various outlets over the past few years while studying a degree in Journalism. I grew up on everything PlayStation — mainly Metal Gear Solid, with a brief foray into the world of Xbox. Nowadays, you'll find me mainly playing multiplayer PC games, but with the recent addition of the Xbox Game Pass for PC, I'm looking forward to improving my TA Score.

I don't usually click these articles but I played Stellatum a few days ago, nothing to write home about for the game, it's enjoyable enough but I finished the game and had all but 1 achievement without even trying in about 5ish hours. I played it on easy though, shame on me! Normal got to tough at about mission 11 and I never switched it back...

Thought i'd mention it just in case it's not been mentioned in these articles.

It’s crazy that now when I see 6-8 hrs I think it’s a longer game lol back on 360 I would have been all over that

I got Broken Sword 5 a year or two ago simply because it was a short completion. I actually ended up really enjoying the game, so if you’re looking for a decent point and click adventure game I’d highly recommend.

Broken Sword wasn't bad. Not sure what happened to the first 4 but 5 was okay. Nothing else for me this week. Another opportunity to not add to the backlog from the sale. Outer Worlds will probably jump the line on Thursday.

The first 2 were released before Xbox even existed. 3 was on the original Xbox, and 4 was only released on PC.

Valley doesn't take too long if you follow the collectible guide

^Valley is a fantastic game and I’d highly recommend this one as well. If you use the walk through you can do it in about 6-7 hours, maybe faster. I had a story achievement glitch on me so I had to do a second play through and even with that it took me only 7 hours and a bit to complete.

I feel like every week, the 'good' ones are still not very 'cheap' - and then the cheapest ones are simply trash games.

    Such is life.

Both I believe are from Broken Sword 5.

The thumbnail I can't see, but the top picture is definitely Broken Sword, yes.
