Two Point Hospital's Console Release Date Moved to 2020

By Heidi Nicholas,
The console release date for Two Point Hospital has been moved to the first half of 2020, Two Point Studios announce in their blog. "We have to take the game apart and figure out how to fit it into what is essentially a smaller box", they say. "That takes a fair amount of time and engineering work, and it turns out we need to take a little more to iron out the remaining creases."

Their blog goes on to say that whilst they got great feedback after inviting press to their studio and showcasing the game at Gamescom, it was for that reason among others as to why they "really care about getting the final release right". The game was originally intended for late 2019, and whilst Two Point haven't specified a date beyond the first half of 2020, they say they'll keep fans posted. "We know you’ll be a bit disappointed by this news," they say, "but hopefully you understand why we’re doing it: quality is the most important thing and we want you to have the very best experience."

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
