Crimson Alliance Confirmed for XBLA

Two weeks ago, the Australian Classification website revealed the existence of a potential Xbox 360 title, Crimson Alliance. Microsoft was announced as the publisher, whereas Certain Affinity, the company responsible for Age of Booty, are handling development duties. It turns out that the game is a fantasy action RPG that will be heading exclusively to Xbox LIVE Arcade.

The world of Crimson features labyrinthine crypts, ruined cities, deadly traps and hidden treasures, populated by elite mini-bosses and the devious minions they control. Each of the three main characters has their own motivations, revealed in a story-driven cooperative campaign of betrayal, foul magic and ancient secrets.
The three classes each have their own unique abilities. The Assassin can use time-bending attacks, whereas the Mercenary specialises in sweeping whirlwind strikes. The Wizard can use elemental mastery. Each of the classes has five special abilities that can be upgraded using collected treasure or by finding hidden Soul Anchors that harbour the spirits of long dead heroes.

Players will battle against the sinister Cult of the Soul Siren in the campaign. The game will focus on co-op combat, with support for up to four players in both local and online multiplayer. Together, players can create devastating chain attacks that combine their characters' abilities.
