Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Comes to Consoles in December

By Heidi Nicholas,
Three months after its release on PC, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has its release date for consoles: December 6th.

The game is set in Africa, ten million years ago. The player takes control of a clan of apes, establishing a base, exploring the jungle to expand their territory, and ultimately evolving through the generations. You're literally right at the beginning, learning what foods are poisonous and how to shift a tool from one hand to the other. It's up to the player which skills and attributes will be focused on and ultimately passed on to the next generation, meaning each playthrough should be different. The console release date for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey was announced via an accolades trailer:

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is now available to pre-order for $39.99 on the Microsoft Store:

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
