Bethesda Confirms "Elder Scrolls" Books

Bethesda has yet another grand announcement to make along with the revealing of their upcoming game WET. Bethesda has confirmed that Del Ray will be publishing two novels based on the Elder Scrolls universe. The books, written by Greg Keyes, are expected to contain original and captivating stories set in a post Oblivion world. Keyes' prior work includes the Age of Unreason tetrology, along with three New York Times bestselling Star Wars novels in the New Jedi Order series.

"In the first novel - The Infernal City- readers will once again find the citizens of Tamriel facing an uncertain future. Floating high above the land is a strange and mysterious city that casts a horrifying shadow – wherever it falls, people die and rise again as undead. A seventeen-year-old girl named Annaig and the Emperor's young son, Prince Attrebus, are chosen to rescue the kingdom from doom"

The Infernal City is expected to hit stores in Fall 2009.
