Free Maps and Hardpoint Coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Tomorrow

By Sean Carey,
Two new maps are coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare along with the multiplayer game mode Hardpoint, as confirmed by the game's Twitter account. Players will get the maps, Shoot House and Krovnik Farmland as well as Hardpoint, for free from tomorrow.

Shoot House is a new multiplayer map while Krovnik Farmland is a new map for Ground War. Hardpoint is one of the more popular game modes in Call of Duty and was not included in Modern Warfare's launch. It was scheduled as post-launch content. If you haven't played Hardpoint — teams must rush and secure a point on the map and defend the area from enemies. Holding the Hardpoint increases a teams score; however, a player must always be present in the Hardpoint; otherwise, no points are gained. The Hardpoint also switches positions on the map during the match. A point is granted every second a single team is inside the Hardpoint. If players from both teams are inside the Hardpoint, it is considered contested, and no points are awarded.

A new update for the game is about to be released that addresses a number of issues including loud footsteps, weapon balancing and issues with claymores. Presumably, the new update includes the two new maps and Hardpoint.

Hardpoint, Shoot House and Krovnik Farmland will be playable on all platforms November 8, so you will be able to play with your friends on other platforms thanks to cross-play.
