Divinity: Original Sin 2 Gets its Latest Free Gift Bag

By Heidi Nicholas,
Larian Studios announce Order & Magic, the latest free gift bag for Divinity: Original Sin 2, following on from Beauty Salon and Song of Nature. The gift bag includes features for everything from haggling to combat, as well as something for animal lovers: Nine Lives transforms the Black Cat into a follower which can be rescued.

All of the Order & Magic gift bag content can be accessed in the in-game menu. Larian's forum post says that the content is entirely optional, and players can choose which features or how many they wish to enable. The content is as follows:

  • Pet Power: This enhances infusion spells and the summoning class. Infusion spells can now be cast on all summons and not just the player's Incarnate. Each summons will then get skills which reflect the infusion type.
  • Combat Randomizer: When beginning combat, one or more of the enemies players are facing will get one of the statuses of this feature.
  • Nine Lives (Black Cat+): The Black Cat becomes a follower. The player gets a whistle after rescuing it, which can call the cat back and also change who it follows.
  • Improved Organisation: There's now special bags which help the player to sort their inventory quickly and more easily.
  • Sourcerous Sundries: New vendors can now be found in all major hubs. They're selling artifacts which upgrade a player's gear to the player's current level.
  • Hagglers: Instead of the player needing to switch to their "haggling character", the reputation and skill of the entire party will help haggle for better prices with traders.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
