The Outer Worlds Supernova Achievement Can be Obtained in Two Hours

By Sean Carey,
The Outer Worlds achievement list is a tough one to complete, especially with the last achievement requiring you to finish the game on the game's hardest difficulty setting, Supernova. A Redditor seems to have found a way to complete the game on Supernova and netting the achievement in under two hours.

***Spoilers for The Outer Worlds, including the final boss fight lie ahead. Do not read further if you haven't completed the game and care about the story.***

Redditor u/tobiasbluehimself's solution is a little complex and requires you to follow a speedrun combined with another video on how to skip the final boss fight with RAM. The speedrun video is quite hard to follow but can be done if you're watching carefully and pause the video a lot. It involves killing off certain NPCs that alter the main storyline. It is highly recommended that you play through The Outer Worlds first before attempting the methods used in these two videos. The story is good, and these methods will completely spoil the game for you if you haven't checked it out yet.

This video shows you how to skip the final boss fight. Tobiasbluehimself mentions that you will need to respec your character to 100 for lock picking and 93 for hacking, to hack the computer and have the drones kill RAM. You do not need to do the password route, as shown in the video above. You also cannot do the ending that the speedrunner does, you must travel to the final planet in the game and follow the steps in the second video.

When asked when to stop using the speed run video, tobiasbluehimself said "right before he (the speedrunner) skipped the Hope. I skip it to Tartarus, not the sun. Then I use the second video to get through the boss and get the achievement.

We cannot confirm if this works, but if it does, it could save a lot of time and effort in completing The Outer Worlds on Supernova difficulty.

If someone does manage to pop the achievement this way or finds out that it doesn't work, let us know in the comments.
