The Witcher 3 Coming to Xbox Game Pass as Confirmed by Twitch Ad

By Sean Carey,
It's been a big day for leaks ahead of X019, and a new one has just dropped. The Witcher 3 will be joining the Xbox Game Pass for console line-up, as discovered in a Twitch ad.

The Witcher 3 revealed as coming to Xbox Game Pass via Twitch ad from r/xboxone

The ad was posted up on Reddit, but we have trawled through Twitch and managed to find the ad playing in the wild – and it does confirm that The Witcher 3 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. The ad shows a lineup of current games on Game Pass. We see the likes of Gears 5, The Outer Worlds and Devil May Cry 5, all staples of Xbox Game Pass – before we see the Witcher himself, unsheathing his sword and fighting some enemy soldiers. We don't know yet if it will be just the standard version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or if it will be The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition complete with the Blood and Wine DLC and Hearts of Stone DLC – our money is on this being the standard edition to encourage players to upgrade. The ad also doesn't confirm a date for when CD Projekt Red's RPG will be added to the lineup, but it's more than likely to be soon.

The Witcher 3 is one of the highest-rated games on our site. The TA community has given the standard version of the game a 4.82/5 with the game of the year edition garnering a 4.8/5. This puts The Witcher in a strong position for our game of the decade. You can help us decide the TA game of the decade by voting for your favourite game on site.

We expect to hear more about The Witcher 3 coming to Game Pass tonight at X019. Watch this space.
