First Look at Sindel for Mortal Kombat 11

By Heidi Nicholas,
The Kombat Pack will bring six DLC characters to Mortal Kombat 11. Three are out already: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, and Terminator T-800, who released on October 8th. Sindel is the fourth DLC character, releasing via early access on November 26th, and with a full release on the 3rd December. The Mortal Kombat YouTube channel has given the first look at Sindel's gameplay.

Sindel, "The Scream Queen", first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3. In the gameplay trailer for her appearance in Mortal Kombat 11, she first appears opposite Nightwolf (the second DLC character), angry that he stopped her from destroying Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat 9. Sindel wasn't playable in Mortal Kombat 10, so Mortal Kombat 9 was the last game in which she featured more heavily. Her hair is one of her main weapons in the trailer, holding her victims in place or throwing them around the stage. Her scream is another, hurling her enemies back and away, and disintegrating their bodies. She can also utilise aerial attacks, and can levitate.

After Sindel, there'll still be Joker, releasing via early access on January 28th of next year, and Spawn, on March 17th 2020. Sindel's gameplay trailer came out today, just under two weeks from her early access release. If NetherRealm Studios follow the same pattern with the last two DLC Kombat Pack characters, we can hope to see gameplay trailers for Joker around the third week of January and for Spawn the first week of March. Releasing alongside Sindel will be the Gothic Horror Skin Pack, which also comes out via early access on November 26th. It looks as though the Gothic Horror Skin Pack features skins for Raiden, Cetrion and Geras. Cetrion's looks to be inspired by mummified Ancient Egypt themes, whilst Geras's looks a little like Frankenstein's monster.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
