Return to Jurassic Park Achievements Revealed for Jurassic World Evolution

By Heidi Nicholas,
We have just picked up the Return to Jurassic Park achievement list for Jurassic World Evolution. There are 6 achievements worth a total of 265 Gamerscore, none of which are secret.

Return to Jurassic Park has the 1993 film cast return to voice new challenges, along with several big features and creatures which have long been requested by the Evolution community. The Pteranodon is one of these: a flying reptile featuring throughout the Jurassic World movies. It was speculated for some time how flying creatures might be included, with players wondering how their enclosures would work. It seems the Pteranodon will have its own aviary; a new building included with the DLC. Building an aviary and populating it with Pteranodons is one of the achievements needed to complete the DLC. The addition of Pteranodons is also promising for the possible later inclusion of aquatic reptiles, another highly-requested feature. Many fans thought that neither flying nor swimming creatures would be added, and whilst there's still been no word on aquatic dinos, the addition of flying creatures is a good sign. The other new dinosaur is the COMPSOGNATHUS, the teeny little dinosaur also seen in the movies. The new buildings also include a new hatchery and raptor breeding area, a visitor centre, new main gates, and a new Jurassic Park Tour.

Aside from the new buildings and new dinosaurs, the other big update looks to be the possibility of vehicle destruction. Before, teams of rangers would head in to feed Tyrannosaurus and Indominus Rexes without batting an eye. Even having the dinosaurs running into the cars would do nothing more than send them spinning away, with everybody inside looking very chilled about having massive angry carnivores roaring inches away from their exposed limbs. It was a little immersion-breaking. Now, it seems both carnivores and dinosaurs will be able to interact with the ranger vehicles, and, more importantly, destroy them; meaning that sending ranger teams in will now be a difficult situation to strategize around. The fact that this will now be a difficult and dangerous task for rangers is clear in that one of the new achievements is to have a manually controlled ranger team survive for three minutes after being attacked by a T. Rex. Return to Jurassic Park releases on December 10th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
