Ghost Recon Breakpoint's Free Update, Project Titan, is Live Today

By Heidi Nicholas,
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint's first raid is here. Project Titan goes live today as a free update, and is a four-player co-op raid taking place in a new location: Golem Island.

Golem Island's a volcanic environment, isolated from Auroa and developed by Skell Technology. It was the base for a military research on experimental drones, and it's now been taken over by the Red Wolves. It had been guarded by an AI, designed to keep watch over the island, but after the Red Wolves moved into the area, they modified it so that it works for them. The mission of the four-player team is to take out four deadly prototype drones, currently in the last stage of development. All you'll need to be able to access Project Titan is to haev a minmum Gear Score of 150, which Ubisoft say takes about 30 hours of gameplay to acquire. You'll also need to have a four player sqaud, made through private or public matchmaking. Ubisoft advise players to gear up by completing Auroa and faction missions, and say if you don't already have a party, you can find one through selecting the Raid option in Mood Matchmaking.

There'll be checkpoints after each boss fight, and beating each boss for the first time earns you rewards from the raid loot pool, such as customisation items, or weapons like the CTMMG Baal, Vector Control Room, KOBLIN, and BOSG12. Weapons and gear can have duplicates, but they'll differ in Gear Level. There's four class sets: Assault, Panther, Sharpshooter and Field Medic, but the sets don't only belong to the class that they're named after; Ubisoft say you can have the Sharpshooter set on and still play as Panther and so on. Aside from Panther, which doesn't have gloves, each set is made up of a mask, top, vest, gloves and pants, all of which drops individually. Customisation, titles, emblems and so on will only drop once. After you've got the weekly rewards, defeating the bosses again will net you Skell Credits. The raid rewards and progress reset on Tuesdays, 9am UTC. This raid will make the "In the belly of the beast" achievement available.

Ubisoft say there's two more modes on the way for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, both of which will land in early 2020. They also remind anyone who is "looking for a different experience" that they're "still hard at work on the radical and immersive version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint", referencing the Moving Forward letter which addresses the uneven reception the game's had so far.
