Roundup of Modern Warfare's Season 1 and First Battle Pass By Heidi Nicholas, 04 Dec 2019 FollowtopicsCall of Duty: Modern WarfareCall of DutyActivisionLocal MultiplayerOnline MultiplayerFirst Person ShooterHeidi Nicholas Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is live now, along with the Battle Pass, and the free content drop which Activision promised is the biggest in COD history. The Battle Pass has over 150 items to earn. Some of these are free to unlock, including weapon blueprints, COD Points, and two new weapons. Those who purchase the full Battle Pass with 1,000 COD Points will then have access to all 100 tiers. COD Points are an in-game currency, but they take a while to earn. To get a pack of 1,100 on the Microsoft Store will still cost around $10, but you'll earn up to 1,300 CP back after getting it. Or, if you're fully committed to buying the Battle Pass with real cash and want to get even more out of it, Activision are doing a Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400 CP, which includes 20 Tier Skips as well as the Battle Pass. The bundle would usually cost 4,000 CP, so this would be a 40% discount. The full Battle Pass provides access to the entirety of the 100 tiers, which come with Rare, Epic and Legendary Blueprints, Operator skins, exclusive challenges, the 1,300 CP, and a new Operative: Mara. Mara, a Venezuelan national, became a CIA asset at 15 and gathered intel for the US to use in covert operations against AQ sleeper cells. She was invited to join WARCOM in 2017. More Battle Pass content includes the Life Support watch, the Sand Snake SMG and Hadir's Right Hand Sniper Rifle weapon blueprints, and the Overgrowth Grinch operator skin. On top of that, every new Operator and additional Operator skins come with an exclusive mission. There's a load of other rewards, including more cosmetics such as weapon charms, emblems, and stickers, as well as in-game voice-over lines, sprays, and player cards. Plus, if you decide to get the Battle Pass after you've already passed several tiers, you'll still get everything from the Tiers you have already unlocked.Even if you're not interested in buying the full Battle Pass, you'll still get free content through the Battle Pass system. There are 23 tiers of free content in the Battle Pass System, including the two new weapons: the Holger-26, a light machine gun earned at tier 15, and the RAM-7, a bullpup assault rifle earned at tier 31. The RAM-7 also has an earnable 9mm magazine. 300 CP can be earned for free in the Battle Pass system. Other free tier rewards are The Purist assault rifle blueprint, weapon charms, and more cosmetics. You advance through the Battle Pass tiers by playing the game, earning XP, and completing challenges, which all contribute to your Battle Pass XP. Activision remind players that the 100 tiers of the Battle Pass aren't to be confused with the 100 Officer ranks, as these two aspects are separate from each other. The Battle Pass system uses the three actions mentioned above, whilst progressing through the Officer Ranks can only be done through earning XP. Activision have a more detailed summary of Officer Ranks here. Season 1 of Modern Warfare is live now, with more multiplayer maps, modes, and Spec Ops content to come as Season One continues.More Call of Duty: Modern Warfare stories: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 seemingly confirmed by DMCA takedowns Sony finally signs Call of Duty deal with Microsoft Call of Duty 2023 will be a full game and a continuation of Modern Warfare 2 – report Microsoft signs "binding ten-year contract" to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms Microsoft offered Sony 10-year deal to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation Xbox One Written by Heidi NicholasHeidi tends to lean towards indie games, RPGs, and open-world games on Xbox, and when not playing Disney Dreamlight Valley, happily installs every new wholesome game that appears on Xbox Game Pass, before diving back into favorites like The Witcher 3.
