Bayonetta & Vanquish Remaster Officially Announced for Xbox One

By Heidi Nicholas,
Platinum Games have officially announced the 10th Anniversary Bundle of Bayonetta and Vanquish for Xbox One. Both will be remastered, with 4K graphics and 60fps available on Xbox One X, and will release on February 18th, 2020. The bundle also includes a SteelBook with new cover art for the games.

The remasters will be releasing ten years after the games originally came out. The dual-pack has an approximate size of 12.97 GB, and will cost $39.99 on the Xbox Store. It's already available for pre-order. Bayonetta released way back in 2009, with Vanquish coming out the year after. Bayonetta is a hack & slash game about the Umbra Witch. She's been asleep for half a millenium, and wakes up with no memory of her history. With a name like that and a lifespan to match, it's understandable she has hordes of enemies, and it's only by defeating them all that she can recover the truth of her life. She has a number of tricks up her sleeve; she can turn into animals and summon demons.

Vanquish is a sci-fi third person shooter about the space colony of Providence. It focuses on Sam Gideon, a DARPA agent equipped with the Augmented Reaction Suit and the BLADE weapon system, which can scan and remember up to three weapons. Earth is overpopulated and struggling for resources, and looks to the solar-powered Providence colony for help. But Providence has been taken over by a mutinous military group, who begin to devastate cities with Providence's technology. Sam has to get inside Providence and take back the colony to save Earth.

The Anniversary Bundle releases next year, on February 18th.
