Servers for Fight Night Round 4 to Close Next Year By Sean Carey, 09 Dec 2019 CommentsEA has announced that the servers for the Xbox 360 boxing sim, Fight Night Round 4 will close on March 9, 2020. This affects seven of the game's achievements and leaves you just a few months to grab them before they become unobtainable. The achievements affected are listed as follows: The Pain Brings Glory achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 15 pointsWin a match in Online World Championship Mode. The Solid Contender achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 101 pointsWin 5 online ranked matches. The Comeback Kid achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 38 pointsWin a Online ranked match after being knocked down twice. The A Force to Reckon With achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 58 pointsWin 10 online ranked matches. The XL achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 487 pointsWin the Middleweight Championship Belt in Online World Championship Mode. The L achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 249 pointsWin the Lightweight Championship Belt in Online World Championship Mode. The XXL achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 749 pointsWin the Heavyweight Championship Belt in Online World Championship Mode. The You're In The Game! achievement could also be made a lot harder to obtain too. This achievement requires you to upload a Gameface photo from easports.com, or by using the Xbox Live Vision Camera. Although we can't seem to find any working link online through easports.com for the Fight Night series (only FIFA and UFC), so it's possible that the only way to pop this achievement is by using the camera. The Secret Achievement achievement in Fight Night Round 4 worth 10 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievementLooking at the list above, some of these achievements are pretty hard to get, including the ones that require you to win a belt in the online championship mode. Looking at the solutions on TA, they almost seem impossible. TA member Evandalist has a very detailed guide on how to boost the belts from player to player, so it could be worth setting up a boosting session and working through each online belt achievement (and other online achievements) with members from TA. No reason has been given by EA for the server closure, although it's likely down to a lack of players. The game is almost ten years old, and is not backwards compatible, further limiting its potential player base. The Fight Night series has always been popular and is generally well-received. Fans have been calling for a new Fight Night title since the last game in the series Fight Night Champion was released back in 2011. Unfortunately, the last we heard about the franchise was that EA would be putting it on hold in favour of its UFC games. Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, said in 2013, "Right now, a great portion of the core of the Fight Night team are actually the team that is building UFC. Do I see a future for Fight Night? You know, sure. But right now, UFC is where our fighting focus is." Although there have been rumours of a potential new Fight Night game in the works, we are yet to receive any information that's concrete. Thanks to Scraps4Mantis for the news tip.
