Winter Wonderland 2019 in Overwatch: Origins Edition Brings Three New Achievements

By Sam Quirke,
We have just picked up the Winter Wonderland 2019 achievement list for Overwatch: Origins Edition. Winter Wonderland brings a brand new mode into the game, as well as revisiting some old festive activities.

There are 3 achievements worth a total of 45 Gamerscore, none of which are secret.

Name Description Gamerscore
Breached Kill an enemy after destroying part of their Ice Wall in Snowball Deathmatch. 15
Caught You! Kill an enemy with a caught snowball in Snowball Deathmatch. 15
Threepeat Kill 3 enemies without reloading or dying in Snowball Deathmatch. 15
Blizzard's annual festivities return with new mode Snowball Deathmatch, which the three new achievements focus on. It's an eight-player free-for-all in which players can store three one-shot snowballs in Mei's blaster. Also returning is Mei's Snowball Offensive, a 6v6 brawl in which players only have one super-powered snowball shot to take down the enemy. Yeti Hunter makes a comeback too – this 5v1 mode sets a bunch of Meis against a Yeti with Winston's move set. The return of these two modes means a possibility to unlock previously discontinued achievements from previous festive events:
There's three weeks of cosmetics to earn starting right now. Win 9 games before December 17th to get an ugly Christmas sweater for 76. In the following week up to Christmas Eve, 9 wins will get players the Holly Moira skin. Week 3 runs until January 2nd and 9 wins will earn players the Snow Angel Mercy skin.

There are of course far more exclusive winter cosmetics to unlock, and naturally you'll find them in festive Loot Boxes. There's a discount on items that players missed from last year's event too.

The Overwatch Winter Wonderland event has already started. If you want to smash out the achievements as soon as you can make sure to make use of our Overwatch gaming sessions to find a group of like-minded hunters. Good luck!
