Gears 5 Gets a Big Update With Operation 2: Free for All Starting Today By Sean Carey, 11 Dec 2019 CommentsOperation 2: Free for All in Gears 5 goes live today along with a new update that makes a bunch of improvements and fixes in what The Coalition is describing as its "biggest update yet." The Gears 5 team has also given us a sneak peek at some of the items you can earn in Operation 2. The list of patch notes is pretty extensive, but we've highlighted a few of the main points. Adjustments have been made to strafing by increasing the acceleration and reducing the delay from a roadie run to shooting. An issue has been fixed that caused DBNO players who were revived to be revived with less than full health. Players can also no longer use the Breaker Mace to kill players in elevated low covers with the heavy attack.
