Vote now for The TrueAchievements Game of The Decade!

By Sam Quirke,
Game of the Decade

The twenty-first century has finally shrugged off its troublesome teens, so as 2020 starts we wanted to look back at the last decade* and review the highlights from the video games industry from 2010 to today. We'll be sharing a variety of stats and thoughts this week and next, but most importantly we want to know what you think, in our first ever TrueAchievements Game of the Decade event!

The format for the event will be similar to our regular Game of The Year submissions. We'll ask for some of your favourites, including the best DLC, your best achievements, and of course your overall best game released since 2010. We also have some brand new questions for you, like your favourite devleopers and publishers of the decade. Plus, we want to know which games you thought were underrated – those 7s that you think should have been 10s, or those games that got a critical panning that turned out pretty good after a few dozen patches.

Voting is simple – just head over to the Game of the Decade Hub and select Vote at the bottom of the list of questions. The question list should be pre-populated with games and achievements on your tag.

The TrueAchievements Game of the Decade poll ends at 15:00 GMT on Monday 20th, 2020. Make sure to have all of your votes submitted by then!

*As we have discussed in the past, we're reviewing the cultural decade from 2010-2019, just as you would cover 1990-1999 if you were looking at "the 90s". We know that in some circles that's not academically proper. Thank you in advance for pointing it out.
