An update to Batman - The Telltale Series seems to have fixed all of the achievements

By Sam Quirke,
The BATMAN – The Telltale Series achievement list has apparently been fixed – which is good news, given that the game is now available in Xbox Games with Gold. The achievements were completely borked by an update late last year which we assume enabled the use of the premium Shadows Mode DLC, a paint job that gives the game a monochrome Sin City vibe.

This news comes from several of our community members – we thank you – who report that achievements started popping after the latest update. Unfortunately, most have also let us know that the achievement pops are not retrospective – if you have completed a chapter and didn't get the achievement, you're going to have to play through that chapter again.

The Shadows Mode DLC and the unfortunate achievement snafu represent some of the first development moves by the newly reformed Telltale Games. While some were cynical of the resurrection – the brand name was picked up by holding company, and didn't necessarily represent the original crew – Telltale Games 2.0 has already pleased fans by announcing that the sequel to The Wolf Among Us is back in production with much of its original cast and crew. We don't know when exactly the sequel will appear – it won't be this year – but the fact that the first game's developers are back on board suggests that the new Telltale still has good intentions for the brand and its fans.
