Easy Gamerscore: The five quickest game completions from the latest Xbox sales

By Sean Carey,
It's slim pickings this week in terms of quick completions from the latest Xbox One and Xbox 360 sales. After the previous week's bumper crop of 30 quick completions, it seems we've been left with the dregs this week. Just five games make it on to our list, and two of them are still going to take you a bit of investment from yourselves timewise to complete. You'll find links to each game's hub where you can view achievement lists, guides and walkthroughs. We've also linked directly to the Microsoft Store where you can make a purchase.

Inferno 2+ 0-1 hour 30% View
JackQuest: Tale of the Sword 1-2 hours 50% View
Agatha Knife 6-8 hours 40% View
Knee Deep 6-8 hours 70% View

We all know this of this one by now, but if you're new here, I'll give you a quick rundown. Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth is famed for its super quick completion time (possibly the quickest until Rememoried came along). The non-backwards compatible, Xbox 360 title can be beaten in around five minutes — you can find out how to do this by checking out our walkthrough. The fighting game is not great; it's currently sitting at a rating of 1.71/5 from the TA community and is only bought for its 1000 Gamerscore. Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth will set you back $3.99.

Next up, we have Inferno 2+ with its 15 achievements worth 1000 Gamerscore. The shoot 'em up regularly features on our quick completion lists and has an estimated completion time of under an hour. We don't have a walkthrough written for this one, but BiLLzuMaNaTi has a great video guide that you'll find posted under each individual achievement. Inferno 2+ sits at a somewhat respectable 2.99/5 from the TA cohort and will cost you the sum of $3.49 for its pleasure.

JackQuest: Tale of the Sword

JackQuest: Tale of the Sword has not featured on one of our quick completion lists before. It has 13 achievements worth 1000 Gamerscore and the 240 tracked gamers that completed the metroidvania have estimated the game to take 1-2 hours to complete. Seven of the 13 achievements are flagged as storyline-related so can't be missed, while the rest are collectables and a cumulative — all should be pretty straightforward. No walkthrough for this one though, however, we do have a few individual achievement guides that should help you out if you get stuck. Our official site review gives JackQuest: Tale of the Sword a 2/5, so it's probably safe to say that most people are picking it up for the Gamerscore. JackQuest: Tale of the Sword is on sale for $4.99.

The next two titles are slightly longer in their estimated completion times, so you're going to have to invest some time if you're after their full 1000Gs. Agatha Knife has 30 achievements worth 1000 Gamerscore with an estimated completion time of around 6-8 hours. We do have a well-received walkthrough that will guide you through the game and help you grab all the achievements — plenty of Agatha Knife's achievements are missable too, so it's worth following. The adventure title will set you back $7.19 for the 1000Gs.

Our final game on this week's list is another 6-8 hour estimated completion. Knee Deep is a visual novel with 43 achievements worth 1000 Gamerscore. A whopping 27 achievements are flagged as missable in Knee Deep; thankfully, we have a great walkthrough that will guide you through the process of grabbing all those annoying missable achievements. Knee Deep is on sale for $4.49.

If you somehow missed the news story yesterday, a workaround has been found for beating Subnautica —the game can now be completed in 30 minutes, originally a 40-hour completion. BiLLzuMaNaTi has created a fantastic video guide on how to beat the game using the new workaround. Subnautica is also in Xbox Game Pass, so if you're a subscriber, that's a swift and easy completion right there.

*EDIT* As pointed out in the comments by TA user The Cherished and several others, Horse Racing 2016 is also a quick completion. The game has just 10 achievements for its 1000 Gamerscore with an estimated completion time of around 2-3 hours. Be warned, it's currently rated at a lowly 1.42/5 and has not been well-received at all. It is, however, just $1, so Horse Racing 2016 has that going for it at least! You can make a purchase for that one, here.

Not much to go for this week in terms of quick completions. Let us know if you've played any of these games and if the achievement lists aren't as easy as they look on paper, or if there are any other quick and easy completions from the sales that we've missed. Catch you next week.
