Techland has announced over on Steam that Dying Light owners can grab a free copy of the battle royale spin-off, Dying Light: Bad Blood on PC. The news comes just a week after Techland delayed the sequel Dying Light 2 indefinitely.

The Steam post says, "As a token of appreciation for our amazing community, we are pleased to offer a free copy of Dying Light: Bad Blood to every Survivor eager to expand their Dying Light experience. Everyone who owns Dying Light (regardless of platform)." So if you own Dying Light on any platform be it Xbox, PS4 or Steam you can grab a copy of the spin-off for free.

To grab your copy, you'll need to head over to the Dying Light Docket Site where you'll need to either login or create an account. From there, you will need to link your Dying Light account to the platform that you own Dying Light on, either Xbox, PS4 or Steam. Once connected, you should see a banner appear with your Steam download code.

Dying Light: Bad Blood was first released back in 2018 and is still in Early Access according to its Steam listing. The game is a spin on the battle royale genre where 12 players compete in a zombie-infested area to be the last person or team standing. Players have to scavenge for weapons and destroy hives to level up all while using their parkour skills so outrun and outplay opponents. Unfortunately, the game didn't garner a big player base with only around 500 players joining in on the action at its peak — perhaps a new influx of players can revive the zombie PvPvE title. The aggregate review score over on Steam has Dying Light: Bad Blood down as "mixed."
