and a number of trailers regarding this year's addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3
. So much hype surrounds everything Call of Duty, that Microsft deemed it fit that the Activision release should open this year's E3 presentation.
Rather than a new trailer, we were treated to some live gamplay from the games "Pentation" mission.
Sledgehammer Games General Manager, Glen Schofield described MW3
as "the biggest, most exciting and epic Call of Duty ever".
Towards the end of the Microsoft presentation, Don Mattrick from Microsoft Interactive Entertainment confirmed that as with Call of Duty: Black Ops
DLC will be coming first to Xbox 360 as a timed exclusive.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
is scheduled for release on November 8th, 2011.
