Star Wars Battlefront II's Rise of Skywalker BB-8 update has been delayed By Sean Carey, 30 Jan 2020 CommentsThe Star Wars Battlefront II update that would allow players to play as both BB-8 and the First Order BB-9E has been delayed. The update was due out today, but the Battlefront II team has come across a critical issue during testing and has delayed the patch to early next week. A post over on the Battlefront II forums says, "During our testing, we found a critical issue that means we will be pushing the update to early next week. We already have a new build going through its regular pre-release checks and things are looking positive."Unfortunately, this is sometimes the reality in game development where testing continues right up until an update is deployed onto our live servers. Although disappointing, we feel that it is much better that we found the issue now, rather than have it slip through and make it to our live servers."The update will add two new heroes, the offensive based BB-8 and his First Order counterpart, the support orientated BB-9E. Both heroes come with three abilities and three passives. The forum post also confirms that BB-8 will be able to pull off the iconic thumbs-up emote. Two new Capital Ships are on their way including the MC85 Star Cruiser and the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. Ajan Kloss is coming to Hero Showdown and a "variety of balance changes as well as fixes and improvements" are coming. Darth Vader will now be able to block while using his Force Choke; Auto Players will be able to carry out melee attacks, Droidkas will receive a buff to their shield health, while Finn and Kylo Ren both get some new emotes. The Battlefront II development team have not given a specific date for when this patch will roll out, but they will be sharing more information soon.Game UpdateXbox One Written by Sean CareySean joined the team as a Staff Writer for both TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies in 2019.
