Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 teases return of Ghost and multiplayer map Rust

By Sean Carey,
It looks like the Call of Duty character Ghost could be making a return to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare along with the multiplayer map, Rust. Infinity Ward has teased the two in a short video over on Twitter. The video also confirms that Season 2 will kick off February 11.

In the teaser video, we can see a message being sent from Captain Price to Simon "Ghost" Riley. The message mentions a new location, weapons and new Operators, before a small video plays of what appears to be the multiplayer map, Rust and some new weaponry.

The Rust map was already discovered in a data mine last year, while another leak found a huge map that is believed to be part of a 200 player battle royale mode — although this is yet to be confirmed. Infinity Ward recently extended Season One until February 11 to allow for new items, challenges and playlists to come to the game.

The final playlist update for Season 1 went live last night too:
  • Face Off Grind - Gunfight Grind introduces new strategies to the single life Gunfight mode and the classic Multiplayer mode Grind. This mash-up of play styles gives an intense, fast-paced feel to the close-quarters design of the Gunfight arena.
  • Shipment 24/7
  • Shoot House 24/7
  • Shoot the Ship for Hardcore
  • Hardcore 10v10 Mosh Pit - TDM, Dom, KC, HQ ·
  • Added 10v10 Mosh Pit - Kill Confirmed and Headquarters

We will likely be hearing more on what's coming in Season 2 in the next few days; we will keep you posted on any new developments.
