Destiny 2's Crimson Days event starts next week, with themed loot and a 2v2 mode By Heidi Nicholas, 06 Feb 2020 CommentsDestiny 2 is celebrating Valentine's Day with a week-long themed event, free for all players: Crimson Days. Starting next week on February 11th and running until the 18th, the event has themed loot, a Valentine's emote, and the Crimson Doubles activity. The event is apparently intended as a celebration of "the bond that Guardians share on the battlefield". The Crimson Doubles match is a 2v2 event for Guardians to fight together in "a legendary standoff", and there's themed loot available throughout the Crimson Days event. The best piece of loot seems to the "The Vow", a Masterworked bow, but there's also a Ghost shell, ornament, a pair of matching Sparrows, and a Valentine's emote."Since we began to explore the colonies, no Guardian has triumphed alone," the event description reads. "Once again, the time has come to recognize the bond that Guardians share on the battlefield. Meet with Lord Shaxx in the Tower and feel the fire of camaraderie that only Crimson Days can stoke. Take up arms, bite off more than you can chew, and stand together as one."Destiny 2 was, last month, added to Project xCloud Microsoft's cloud streaming service. It's not the only highly-rated game to join the service, and, in fact, Xbox head Phil Spencer recently spoke about his confidence for the streaming platform, saying that he felt Amazon and Google were Microsoft's main competition in cloud gaming, not Nintendo and Sony. Destiny 2 was added to Project xCloud alongside Halo: the Master Chief Collection and Civilization VI. Destiny 2's Crimson Days event runs for a week, from February 11th to the 18th.Xbox One Written by Heidi NicholasHey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
