Activision will return to E3 this year, but Geoff Keighley has confirmed he won't be By Heidi Nicholas, 12 Feb 2020 CommentsE3's still a few months away, but updates are starting to roll in about who'll be there — and who won't. As per a leaked site, Activision will be returning this year. On the other side of things, Geoff Keighley, producer of the E3 Coliseum, won't be participating at E3 for the first time in 25 years.Sony was already a noticeable absence from this year's E3. Now, Geoff Keighley has shared a statement about his own absence. "For the past 25 years, I have attended every Electronic Entertainment Expo. Covering, hosting, and sharing E3 has always been a highlight of my year, not to mention a defining part of my career", he said. "While I want to support the developers who will showcase their work, I also need to be open and honest with you, the fans, about precisely what to expect from me. I have made the difficult decision to decline to produce E3 Coliseum. For the first time in 25 years, I will not be participating in E3". He finishes by saying he'll be "supporting the industry in other ways and at other events in the future."The E3 website is meant to launch tomorrow, but a leak of what looks like the current list of attendees has already been spotted online. The page has since been restricted, but Twitter user Daniel Ahmad has a screenshot of the list as it currently stands. It seems that, alongside Bethesda, Capcom, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, Amazon Game Studios, and others, Activision will be in attendance at this year's event. Xbox aren't currently shown on the list, but they'll definitely have things to show, as they've already confirmed their attendance. The site for E3 2020 goes live tomorrow, so we'll have more news on who'll be attending then. We'll keep you updated.Industry News Written by Heidi NicholasHey, I'm Heidi! I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
