For Honor celebrates third anniversary with "The Honor Games" in-game event

By Sean Carey,
It's For Honor's third anniversary, and to celebrate a new in-game event is kicking off today. The Honor Games event will run for two weeks up until February 27.

The event brings with it the limited-time game mode, Carousel of Death — a 4v4 Elimination game mode. When a player dies, they respawn five seconds later. Each death after that adds another five seconds to the respawn time. This continues until all opponents are dead at the same time. There is a couple of twists, however. During the first week of the event, the Carousel of Fire adds damage boosts and flaming geysers into the arena. There is another twist in the second week, but that is yet to be revealed. Fireworks, a live crowd and musicians will be present on the game map to celebrate the festivities.

The Honor Games also brings with it some new themed loot and event-specific additions to the game. The new Battle Outfit, Ornament and Effect is available as well as new Instrument Emotes available for all Heroes. All of this event's loot can be bought via the Honor Games Bundle until March 2 which costs 30,000 Steel.

Last week saw the start of Season One of Year 4 in For Honor which introduced a new battle pass system consisting of free and paid for tracks.
