Out This Week on Xbox: Wasteland Remastered, Two Point Hospital, Sayonara Wild Hearts

By Rich Stone,
If your backlog of Xbox games is in danger of running low, look no further than our regularly updated list of upcoming Xbox games. Each week we'll share everything that's planned for release in the coming week, based on our scans of the Xbox Store plus anything else we've heard about. This will include full games, DLC, significant game updates and bundles.

Let's dive into the week ahead, which this time includes a beloved indie finding its way to Xbox, a remaster of a classic RPG and a spiritual sequel to a classic simulator of the 90s.

Feb 25th: We've updated this article with confirmed achievement lists and more details that arrived today.

Kingdom Hearts III: Re Mind DLC

Kindom Hearts III: Re Mind achievements: 6 achievements
Release date: February 19th

Just in case you thought we were done with Kingdom Hearts, think again! Kingdom Hearts III is getting its own story add-on/spin-off, mercifully being released as DLC rather than as yet another standalone piece of content. This DLC will cover a part of the third game's climax that we didn't see, as Sora heads to the Keyblade Graveyard to rescue Kairi. There's a link to the regular version of the DLC below, but if you can also get it bundled with a Kingdom Hearts concert video.

KINGDOM HEARTS ? Re Mind
KINGDOM HEARTS ? Re Mind

Re Mind—The other tale that unfolded during the climax of KINGDOM HEARTS III. Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place. Lacking a corporeal form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their personal battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined.

Sayonara Wild Hearts

Sayonara Wild Hearts Achievements: 24 achievements
Release date: February 25th

This week, we will see a beloved indie finally make its way to Xbox One after winning accolades and Game of the Year nods in 2019. It came out in September and up until now has been limited to Steam, Switch and PS4. It's a dreamy fusion of action and music and is particularly beloved for its simple heartfelt narrative and a banging soundtrack. It has a comfortable 83 on Metacritic for its original Switch release.

Wasteland Remastered

Wasteland Remastered Achievements: Not yet revealed
Release date: February 25th

Here's one headed straight to your Xbox Game Pass games library – and to Xbox Game Pass for PC, too. Wasteland Remastered brings back the classic Interplay RPG from 1988 and remodels it for a new age. This is the game that went on to inspire the likes of Fallout, and Xbox Game Studios' InXile Entertainment retains some of the talent and expertise from decades of releases to bring Wasteland Remastered to us. It'll be a good taster ahead of the long, long-awaited Wasteland 3, releasing in May.

Bring law to a lawless future or burn everything to the ground with full freedom of choice and consequence. See where the Wasteland series began and experience the character and world the sequels are built on.

Yakuza 0

Achievements: Not yet revealed
Release date: February 27th

Although not the first game in the Yakuza series to be developed, Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the original Yakuza (known in its remastered form as Yakuza Kiwami) and so it makes sense that the developers wanted to release this one first on Xbox. We're expecting a whole bunch of Yakuza games to hit Xbox this year, and luckily for those of us who never got to try out the former PC and PlayStation exclusive, they're all due to come to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. Expect riveting hand-to-hand combat, a hard-boiled central plot and a host of tonally kaleidoscopic side quests and mini-games – including fully playable versions of classic Sega arcade games.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Achievements: 37 achievements
Release date: February 25th

Mega Man fans, here's yet another collection to add to your collection of collections. This time out Capcom are bundling together Mega Man Zero games one through four, as well as Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent. There's a good reason why this bundling has been further down the production line – generally speaking the Zero games and the ZX games aren't as well known or fondly remembered as the rest of the series. The Zero games have an entirely different protagonist from our beloved blue hero. The ZX games for the Nintendo DS got a little more love, but it remains to be seen how well they will port to a standard console set up nearly 15 years on.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings together six classic titles in one game: Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent. The collection also features Z-Chaser, an exclusive new mode created just for this set of games.

Two Point Hospital

Two Point Hospital Achievements: 30 achievements.
Release date: February 25th

I'm pretty excited for this one personally – I was a huge fan of Theme Hospital back in 1997 and while the video game landscape has moved on quite a bit, there's still room for a goofy little hospital simulator in my life. I got to play a bit of this at Gamescom last year, and even before some planned work on the console version of the game I felt like I could get a good grasp of the controls and menus on an Xbox controller. Whether you want to brave this one on the console or stick to PC, you'll find it in Xbox Game Pass as soon as it's released. Two Point Hospital will release bundled with DLCs "Bigfoot" and "Pebberley Island" from launch.

Good news – it looks like there is a separate Two Point Hospital Windows achievement list, so you can get a stack while the game is in Game Pass for console and PC.

Hayfever

Hayfever Achievements: 30 achievements
Release date: February 25th

It's a cutesy animated indie platformer, but what else does Hayfever have to offer? Well, it's not often that a game's protagonist is suffering from severe allergies. Luckily Thomas the mailman can use his various reactions to stimuli to hop about the world. It's a wildly irresponsible perspective on how allergic reactions work, but what the hell. It looks like at least one eager gamer, reviewer or perhaps just the developer has got their hands on a live copy with achievements – this solo TA member has managed to unlock nine of the game's 30 achievements.

Hayfever
Hayfever

Help Thomas the Allergic Mailman gather all his lost letters in this challenging and unique 2D platformer! In Hayfever, the player takes control of Thomas – a young postman with a strong work ethic. There is just one tiny little issue… Thomas suffers from terrible (and we mean TERRIBLE) allergies.

Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance

La Resistance achievements: 20 achievements
Release date: February 25th

Beloved grand strategy game Hearts of Iron IV is getting yet another expansion next week – though there are no signs of achievements as yet, previous expansions have brought more gamerscore into the fold. This time, France is getting an overhaul and the game is also getting into the world of spies and espionage. Players will get to try out new alternate histories, get into code cracking and use new units to resist enemy occupation.

Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance

Send agents into dangerous territory to decipher enemy secrets or prepare the ground for your invasion by propping up collaborators who will be happy for any taste of power.

Hidden-object game factory Artifex Mundi are putting out another three-game collection from their back catalogue. This time out the bundle includes Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror, Persian Nights: Sands of Wonders and Modern Tales: Age of Invention. If you decide to pick this bundle up you can net yourself 82 relatively straightforward achievements.

Infliction

Infliction Achievements: 19 achievements
Release date: February 25th

Infliction is an "interactive nightmare", which equates to a scary first-person adventure with some puzzle elements and a whole lot of scares. It's had some fairly decent reviews on Steam since launch in 2018, but we suspect the publishers are hoping to get a bit more traction with a console audience. One thing that might help with that is a nice easy achievement list for our community to get excited about – based on the two folks who have already finished the list off on TA, we're feeling optimistic.

Infliction: Extended Cut
$19.99£15.74€17.99$24.95$25.99R$67.45
Infliction: Extended Cut

Wander through an interactive nightmare set within the confines of a once-happy household. Uncover the heartbreaking mystery hidden within messages, artwork, household objects, and other vestiges of domestic life all while struggling to survive encounters with an entity that relentlessly stands in the way of finding absolution. Hide under tables or beneath beds and harness light sources like camera flashes to stun the spirit and momentarily elude its pursuit.

One Finger Death Punch 2

One Finger Death Punch 2 Achievements: 43 achievements
Release date: February 26th

The original One Finger Death Punch is a popular iOS and Android game, and its sequel's release on Steam met critical acclaim – sitting at a highly respectable 83 on Metacritic. It's a super-fast brawler that only requires two buttons to play, but don't go thinking you can mash on those buttons – every press counts.

Grizzland

Grizzland Achievements: 13 achievements
Release date: February 26th

Grizzled is a super-minimalist, short Metroidvania. Players will be able to pick up unique items and skills as they traverse the monochrome world defeating enemy Dinos. It has a positive rating on Steam... from 13 reviews in total. Here's hoping it gets some love and feedback with its console release – a seemingly straightforward achievement list will certainly help.

Grizzland
Grizzland

Welcome to the Grizzled Planet, a seamless open world platformer presented in retro style and filled with old-school challenges. Explore without pointers to uncover secret areas. Equip yourself with unique items and skills, even the ability to shrink and enlarge or explode and recombine. Only through self-discovery will you overcome enemy Dinos in epic combat and find the truth of Grizzland.

Vasilis

Vasilis Achievements: 20 achievements
Release date: February 26th

If "13 Steam reviews" sounds small, try... two. Vasilis hasn't seen a lot of feedback on Steam, but it's making the push to console regardless. This one is a hand-drawn adventure inspired by political events in Ukraine in 2014, so don't expect an easy ride from the game's story. Achievements wise, there's some hope; 13 people have already completed it.

Castle of no Escape 2

Castle of no Escape 2 Achievements: 21 achievements
Release date: February 26th

Castle of No Escape has some serious Atic Atac vibes – that one's in the Rare Replay collection, for the uninitiated. In Castle of No Escape players will have to navigate 216 6-square rooms to find the pieces of the sword that can defeat the castle's owner. It's an unabashed NES throwback with reasonable reviews on Steam.

Castle of no Escape 2
$9.99£8.39€9.99$14.95$12.79R$36.95
Castle of no Escape 2

Prepare yourself for the dangers of the cursed castle! Countless heroes have tried and failed to destroy the ancient spell that holds its walls. Meanwhile, hundreds of monsters are roaming inside, guarding the sword shards — the last known thing to be capable of defeating the demonic castle owner, thus shattering its magical structure. Although, you are not alone — some help could be obtained from the merchants, who, for reasons not truly understood, offer their services right inside the lair of evil. Though, it seems to be only a matter of time for them to disappear... Explore 6 x 6 x 6 = 216 rooms of randomly generated hazards and enemies while collecting the necessary artefacts. Plan your next step carefully, because save points aren't a thing in a rogue-lite game! There is, however, another option, explained below. FEATURES Battle System: Every character is different, try them all! Perform the Agile attack when you're in a pinch. Use armor and shields to your advantage and boost armor stats using the emblems. PAL/NTSC modes: If the game feels too unforgiving, you can tone down the difficulty, lowering the framerate to 50 (PAL). Note, though, that music and sounds become more evil at the 83% of their original pitch. Password System: Just like in an old NES game, in this game you need to input 13 characters to get back to your game session. Still, the powers of evil prevent you from saving anything much more than the artefacts you've found... Unfold the mystery: Defeat minibosses to unlock more playable characters. CREDITS Game by D. E. Edgar: Bokbok in Boulzac

Edgar: Bokbok in Boulzac Achievements: 20 achievements
Release date: February 26th

Edgar is a throwback to the bonkers days of point-and-click adventures, particularly those that came out of Europe and didn't make a whole lot of sense. It's got a charming art style that we're digging, but as one of the few games on here that's not already out on Steam, it's hard to judge just how good the final product is. Just be prepared for a little bit of a collectable hunt – there are 100 squashes to find according to the achievement list.

Edgar - Bokbok in Boulzac
Edgar - Bokbok in Boulzac

Crackpot outcast Edgar sets out to Boulzac to save his squash, and instead uncovers an unearthly secret at the heart of the city. A colourful, surreal and utterly bonkers point-and-click narrative adventure.

House Flipper

House Flipper Achievements: 23 achievements
Release date: February 26th

If you've ever had a sick day in the middle of the work week, there's an inevitability about collapsing on the sofa and watching house flipping reality TV in the middle of the morning. Now the experience can be made more interactive with House Flipper. Take a rubbish house, do it up as best you can and flip it for a profit. This isn't about building a dream home like in The Sims; it's a fairly technical simulator in which one man with a toolbox and some paint tries to make the best of a bad situation while sticking to a budget. It has very, very positive reviews on Steam, so don't write this one off as an indie oddity.

OVERPASS

OVERPASS Achievements: 37 achievements
Release dates: February 27th in UK/EU, March 17th in United States, March 17th in Canada, March 17th in Brazil

OVERPASS has billed itself as a more grounded version of Trials HD; though this tactical all-terrain racer pits you against the clock, every turn of the wheel counts and a rushed approach will only end in disaster. OVERPASS features real-world manufacturers among its UTV and ATV options, including Yamaha, Polaris, Arctic Cat and Suzuki. It rewards players with patience and technical prowess.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Achievements: 47 achievements
Release date: February 28th

A first major video game outing for a beloved anime hero, One Punch Man. The series is a tongue-in-cheek look at how boring it might be to be a god-like hero that can kill any opponent in one punch. Like a lot of Bandai Namco reimaginings of successful anime, this game adaptation amounts to a big old brawl – players will engage in 3v3 fights utilising characters from across the anime series. Also like many Bandai Namco releases, there's a bunch of costumes and stuff you can pick up if you pre-order.

Spartan Fist

Spartan Fist Achievements: 16 achievements
Release date: February 28th

The "first-person puncher" Spartan Fist is a rogue-lite following a detective's attempts to punch her way to the top of the pile. Honestly, not much of the hard-boiled detective story is clear from the trailer, which mainly shows some neon voxels beating the hell out of each other. It's got a handful of good reviews on Steam, at least.

STAB STAB STAB!

STAB STAB STAB! Achievements: 25 achievements
Release date: February 28th

It's hard to say exactly what the player characters are supposed to be in STAB STAB STAB, one of the most unsubtle game titles in the last decade. Are they flightless birds, malformed mosquitoes? Whatever the spindly spikers are supposed to be, the premise is simple – up to 8 players attempt to stab each other to death with their... beaks, I guess... until everyone is dead. It's yet another loosey-goosey physics-based fighting game, essentially. Multiplayer is local, and it looks like the achievement list is totally doable if the first few players are anything to go by.

Bucket Knight

Bucket Knight Achievements: 34 achievements
Release date: February 28th

Bucket Knight looks to be a simple run-and-gun platformer with a retro art style and is yet another Steam game with a total lack of reviews – so we don't really know much about its quality. It certainly seems like a straightforward achievement list, though – 27 players on TA seem to have gotten their hands on it early and already finished the whole thing off.

Bucket Knight
$4.99£4.19€4.99$7.45$6.49R$18.45
Bucket Knight

Bucket Knight is a classic run-and-gun platformer game. Even knights still have to pay taxes, loans and alimony. Help unnamed but brave knight in his sacred mission to find the Holy Grail (and make some money). Explore dungeons, slay enemies, avoid traps, stay alive and get rich!

Yo! Rich here - I was the one that created TrueAchievements back in 2008 as I felt the Xbox Gamerscore system could be improved. The site has evolved massively since then and it's now the biggest and best Xbox community on the planet! Racing games and open world shooters are my thing, but I'll give most genres a go. Except RPGs - those things are evil.
