Publishers adult swim have announced a new project: Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, an action platform game based on the series finale of the Samurai Jack show. It'll have some of the same worlds, moments, and characters as the show, including Scaramouche and Sir Rothchild, and will be voiced by the original voice-actors.
The Samurai Jack TV show ended back in 2017, but the series finale featured an epic battle against Aku's fortress. In the game, Samurai Jack is tasked with travelling through time and space to defeat Aku. There'll be over a dozen weapons, and the chance to train and unlock new skills throughout the game. The devs say it's "An untold Samurai Jack adventure that ties into the epic series finale... Travel to a dark future to free mankind. Dive into the past to face off against terrifying monsters."
The game's set to release sometime during Summer this year. Its being published by adult swim, the team behind Rick and Morty, and developed by Soleil, who also developed 2018's fighting game Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker. adult swim surprise-dropped this on everyone just recently, but since the game's set to release in Summer, we should get some more news soon.
