Moonshiner missions have a 50% Role XP Boost in Red Dead Online this week

By Heidi Nicholas,
This week in Red Dead Online, there's a 50% Role XP boost for all Moonshiner missions, the chance to earn a Treasure Map for completing daily challenges, and a new selection of discounts in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. catalogue.

Red Dead Online newswire

The 50% Role XP boost applies to all Moonshiner Missions, including Sell, Story, and Bootlegger Missions. Rockstar is also giving players the chance to unlock a Treasure Map this week by completing five Daily Challenges. Within 48 hours of completing all five of the Daily Challenges, the Treasure Map can be collected from the Camp Lockbox or from the Post Office.

Rockstar also say that signing up to the Outlaw Pass this week — which costs 40 Gold Bars — will get you enough Club XP for 10 Ranks. You'd have to sign up for the Pass before March 8th to get this bonus, which you'd then find in the Benefits section after upgrading. The Pass itself closes a few days later on March 10th.

Lastly, the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. catalogue has a new selection of discounts this week. There's 25% off the cost of Arabian horses, 30% off vests and bandoliers, and 40% off the Hunting Bow and Fishing Rod. All of these discounts will be available until March 9th.

That's all for this week's update, which again feels a little thinner than usual — although since Rockstar said that they wanted to add more roles, properties and gameplay variety to Red Dead Online, they could perhaps be focusing on that instead. Last week's update focused on Collectors, and the update before that was all about Bounty Hunters. Now that Moonshiners have had their turn, it's likely that next week's update will have something for Traders. We'll let you know when that arrives.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
