Minecraft Dungeons could be delayed because of COVID-19 pandemic

Mojang's upcoming dungeon crawler, Minecraft Dungeons could be delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic impacting the developer's workflow.

Just recently, we picked up a change in the game's Microsoft Store listing – a release date of April 30th was added to the now removed store description. Now it looks like that date could change as a tweet from the Minecraft Dungeons Twitter account reads, "As we’re working from home to do our part in protecting our community, our workflows will, unfortunately, be impacted. We’re working hard to deliver Minecraft Dungeons in April, but we’re also re-evaluating our timeline to make sure we bring you the best game possible. Stay tuned!"

COVID-19 is impacting numerous developers and companies across the games industry. According to analysts, we could see the Xbox Series X suffer a delay or price increase.

Minecraft Dungeons is due to release April 30th and launches on Xbox One, Windows 10, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game will also be available in Xbox Game Pass.
