New weapons come to Call of Duty: Warzone today, and a new map comes to Modern Warfare

By Sean Carey,
Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are both getting updates today. For Warzone, four new weapons will be added while a new map and Operator come to Modern Warfare.

Warzone's update will see the 725, MK2 Carbine .50GS and EBR-14 come to the battle royale. These weapons will be bootable from across the map of Verdansk and can be found in Common and Uncommon rarities. Just recently, Infinity Ward added a Solos mode to Warzone that lets you drop into the free-to-play game all by your lonesome and take on 149 other players. Warzone also recently crossed the 30 million player mark in just ten days.

Khandor Hideout

For Modern Warfare, a new medium-sized map will be added. The Khandor Hideout is a 6v6 map and will suit a number of different playstyles. Long sightlines are ideal for snipers while there are plenty of buildings to explore for close-quarters fighting. A new Operator is also coming to the Coalition. Talon joins along with his dog, Indiana. You'll see Indian in action during Talon's Finishing Move. The Talon bundle includes two Legendary weapon blueprints and two-tier skips. Talon can also be used in Warzone.

Finally, the Call of Duty Endowment Defender Pack will return to the Store this week. Players who purchase the Defender Pack will get eleven in-game digital items. 100% of the net proceeds are put towards helping veterans in the US and UK find high-quality jobs after leaving the armed forces.

The latest Activision blog post details that all new content will be live from 11 PM PT today, but doesn't say when the update will be available to download.
